Imperial Architect Mehmet Aga was commissioned by Sultan Ahmet I. Because of the similarity of the words in Arabic, he mistankingly built the Mosque with "Six" Minarets, rather than "Gold" Minarets.
Minaret. Minarets are an architectural element of Mosques. Only Imperial Mosques have more than one. The muezzin broadcasts the call to prayer over loudspeakers installed on Minarets.
